Altamont Company designs and manufactures premium handgun grips, rifle stocks, and knife handles. Founded in 1981 by Kenneth Enright, Altamont got it’s start by making specialty grips such as C**t's John Wayne genuine ivory series and the Elmer Keith Commemorative for Smith. Now with two campuses in the heart of Illinois, Altamont employs nearly 100 people (5 Enrights included). Altamont’s product
s are made using cutting edge technology such as high speed CNCs, lasers, Zuckerman duplicators, and robotics to ensure quality products at affordable prices. Altamont is committed to manufacturing 100% of its products here in the United States. Altamont currently manufactures products for R***r, Smith & Wesson, Springfield, C**t, Bond Arms, and others. You may have also seen their specialty products in Blockbuster movies, in international sporting events, or on commemorative guns. Movies such as The Expendables, King Kong, and Bourne Identity sported their one-of-a-kind grips. The United States Olympic shooting team commissioned custom red, white, and blue rifle stocks. Other commemorative grips and stocks have been designed for the brave men and women of The United States Armed Forces, Boy Scouts of America, Duck’s Unlimited, and the NRA just to name a few. Altamont is looking forward to offering more of their line directly to customers by updating their offerings online and expanding their dealer portfolio.
