Local author Mike Tanner is coming to The Bookshelf for a signing on Saturday, August 29 from 1 - 3 p.m.! 📖✍️ Mike will sign copies of his historical fiction novel, NIKOLAI RETURNS. This novel based on Mike's mission experiences in Russia from 1995-2005.

📕 In 1920, a glittering Russian Orthodox monastery is dynamited by the Bolsheviks into piles of rubble. Years later, Nikolai Razkazov—Kolya—grows up in the shadow of the ruins.

📗 A veteran of the Soviet war in Afghanistan and the deadly Russian arms trade, Kolya learns that he and the old monastery share a special connection and that his life has a purpose, a dangerous purpose.

Tallahassee author David Gillespie is coming to The Bookshelf for a Story Time and signing on Saturday, August 22 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.! 📖✍️ David will read his debut children’s picture book, FLOO FLOCKY DOO TO THE RESCUE, to your kiddos. Craft time and a signing will follow!
