I have a client who has expressed interest in getting a half plate design of this popular quarter plate case, what we designate as the Geometric 2 design. I have a plan to be able to do the work to make this happen, but I would like to gauge the interest of other folks buying this in a half plate size. True half plate accommodates images 4.25” x 5.5” and the half plate mats all cover 4”x5” as well.

There’s a good amount of work and cost to make this happen and the client isn’t sure about fronting all of that to get it done. If there is sufficient interest from others to order these cases then it would help defray the costs and make this project possible.

Also, doing this opens the door to sizing up other cases as well. But it depends on the design and how this goes. It’s new, not totally uncharted territory, but still a bit experimental to see if it works out the way I want it to. I think it’s a good challenge and I’d really like to do it, but I need your help to make it happen.

On this evening in 1776 General Washington and his men postponed their merriment to instead prepare to attack at dawn the Hessians quartered at Trenton, NJ.

Shipped these today. On the top is our Quarter Plate Geometric 2 design with blue velvet. It is without mat or cover glass, ready for a period original photo package to be inserted. On the bottom is a CDV frame with glass ready to house a Carte de Visite print up to 2.5”x4.25”.

Shipped these double image cases this week.

The top case is a 4”x5” featuring gold toned cartouche mats, brass hook and eye closures and 1/4” depth on both sides so the case can be made to accommodate an image on both sides.

The lower case is a half plate sized (4.25”x5.5”), grapes design with gold toned oval mats and brass hook and eye closures.

Busy start to the new year! Under construction this week, 1/2 plate Country Living design in a landscape orientation, a couple circles half plate cases, plus a double image 1/4 plate Geometric 2 design.

The half plate case take images up to 4.25”x5.5” (great for 4x5s with a mat). 1/4 plate cases fit images 3 1/4” x 4 1/4”
