🌎 Impact Update 🌎

In just 18 months, Project Rewear customers have purchased 11,538 pounds of clothing, helping keep those items out of landfills.

In only 8 months, our community has donated 9,350 pounds of clothing for reuse—an incredible amount in less than half the time!

This highlights an important reality: clothing is being produced faster than ever. With fast fashion creating what feels like 365 seasons instead of 4, we must continue choosing secondhand whenever possible.

Consider this:
• We are a world of 8 billion people.
• More than 100 billion garments are produced every year.

At Project Rewear, you’re supporting a mission dedicated to keeping clothing in circulation and out of landfills. Today, an estimated 84% of unwanted clothing still ends up in landfills or is incinerated. Together, we’re helping change that.

Thank you for being part of the solution.

Did you know it takes more than 700 gallons of water to make a single cotton adult size t-shirt and over 1,800 gallons to make one pair of jeans?

Now imagine the billions of garments produced every year—and the environmental impact when so many end up in landfills.

At Project Rewear, we’re working to change that story. Every preloved item that gets a second life helps reduce textile waste, conserve valuable resources, and keep clothing in circulation longer.

In just 17 months, our community has helped divert more than 11,000 pounds of textiles from the landfill. While we’re proud of that impact, it’s also a reminder of how much work still needs to be done.

The most sustainable piece of clothing is often the one that already exists.

Thank you for supporting reuse, reducing waste, and helping us create a future where fashion is kinder to our planet. 🌎♻️💚

We were incredibly honored to be a nominee for the LA Times Executive Forum & Leadership Awards.

To be nominated alongside such an inspiring group of leaders is truly humbling. Spending the evening surrounded by so many accomplished people who are making a meaningful difference in their industries and communities was both inspiring and motivating. We couldn't be prouder of what our team has built and the impact we're creating together through Project ReWear.

Thank you to the LA Times and LA Times Studios Business for this recognition. And a very special thank you to my business partner, Linda Young. Project ReWear would not be what it is today without her vision, dedication, and belief in our mission. I'm equally grateful for our incredible team, whose passion and hard work make this impact possible every day.

Over 450 people attended our 3rd WEARhouse sale last weekend and over two days and 13 hours 2,538 Ibs of items were sold and diverted from landfills.
This is our largest turnout to date, we were able to triple our landfill diversion using our new $2 per pound model, our next WEARhouse sale will be in August and our goal is to save 3000lbs!

Thanks to each and every person who showed up and supported a circular economy!

Our next Quarterly WEARhouse sale is last weekend in August!

It was great to join Project ReWear at their warehouse sale over the weekend and share how Bundles of Kindness is helping keep clothing out of landfills by placing it directly into the hands of people experiencing homelessness.

We also had the opportunity to tell shoppers about Lois’ Paw Packs and the support they provide to pets living alongside their unhoused owners. Every conversation was a reminder of how small acts of generosity can create a meaningful impact for both people and their beloved pets.

A big thank you to Project ReWear for the continued partnership and for their commitment to giving clothing a second life while helping those who need it most.
