🤎 GIVEAWAY + FREE DOWNLOAD 🤎

Lately I’ve just been sitting back feeling so incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown Hive & Home.

What started as a small dream rooted in bees, nature, slow living, and meaningful childhood moments has grown into such a beautiful community… and I truly don’t take that lightly.

Every share, every kind comment, every family that comes to Nature School, every market customer, every booking, every mom who messages me saying “this is the kind of childhood I want for my kids too”… it all means more than you know. 🐝🌿

So as a little thank you, I wanted to create something special for everyone — especially those who may not be local to Hive & Home, have busy schedules, are homeschooling from afar, or simply want to bring a little more outdoor magic into their own backyard.

I just released a FREE Nature Play Printable Collection inspired by the heart of Hive & Home. 🤎

There’s something magical about muddy hands, messy play, outdoor kitchens, and children completely lost in wonder…

And I’m so excited to finally share that the Hive & Home Mud Kitchen Guide & Tutorial is officially here. 🐝🤎

This has been such a heart project for me because mud kitchens are about so much more than dirt and old pots. They create opportunities for creativity, sensory play, imagination, independence, nature connection, and slow childhood moments that so many of us are craving more of.

Whether your little ones are “making soup” from flower petals and rainwater, running a pretend bakery, or spending hours outdoors instead of asking for screens… a mud kitchen becomes a space where childhood really gets to breathe.

And the best part? This bundle doesn’t just give you ideas… it also includes a step-by-step tutorial showing you how to build your own mud kitchen at home. ✨

So even if you’re not “crafty” or don’t know where to start, this guide walks you through creating a beautiful, functional outdoor play space your children will use for years.

This guide was designed especially for families who:
🤎 aren’t local to Hive & Home Nature School
🤎 are moving away but want to carry the magic home with them
🤎 have scheduling conflicts with classes
🤎 homeschool independently
🤎 want more outdoor, open-ended play
🤎 or simply want to bring the feeling of Hive & Home into their own backyard

Inside the guide, you’ll find:
🌿 A mud kitchen building tutorial
🌿 Setup inspiration and ideas
🌿 Budget-friendly tips
🌿 Nature play activity ideas
🌿 Sensory invitations
🌿 Outdoor learning prompts
🌿 Mud recipes + play ideas
🌿 Cozy cottage-core inspiration
🌿 Printable resources and pages
🌿 Ways to encourage imaginative, independent outdoor play
🌿 Tips for creating a magical backyard learning environment

Honestly… it’s the kind of resource I wish I had years ago as a mom.

This isn’t just a “DIY project.” It’s an invitation to slow down. To let childhood be messy. To create memories in rain boots and muddy hands. To make your backyard feel a little more magical.

And the value inside this guide is far beyond the price… because what it really offers is connection, imagination, confidence, creativity, and wonder.

I cannot wait to see your little mud kitchens come to life. 🐝🌿

This has been a hard season at the homestead.

We started the year with four hives… then came a fluke January swarm, another swarm in April, and now, one more swarm and one hive lost entirely.

To be honest, it’s heartbreaking.

There’s a strange kind of grief in walking up to a quiet hive after pouring so much care, hope, time, and love into it. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I caught myself thinking, “How can I even call myself a beekeeper if I have no bees?”

But I think this season is teaching me something important… sometimes growth doesn’t always look like abundance. Sometimes it looks like rest. Regrouping. Learning. Slowing down long enough to rebuild well.

This last month especially has been heavy for me mentally and emotionally, and I’ve noticed it spilling into other parts of life too… missed details, mistakes, exhaustion, trying to hold too many things together at once. If I’ve seemed quieter, slower to respond, forgetful, or less present lately, that’s part of why.

So for now, I think I’m going to let the apiary rest through the summer while I focus on tending the other parts of Hive & Home that still need me deeply right now… the homestead, the classes, the gatherings, the people, and honestly, myself too.

The truth is, these bees may be gone… but Hive & Home isn’t.

One day the hives will buzz again. I’ll bring in new bees, begin again with wiser hands, and keep building the life and homestead I dreamed of anyway.

Thank you for continuing to show up here, even in the quieter seasons.

🚨 LAST CALL: Farm School Starts TOMORROW 🐐🌿

Tomorrow we begin our 3-week Farm School experience, and there are just a few spots left…

Enrollment closes TONIGHT at 8PM ⏳

Over the next three Tuesdays, your child won’t just learn about farm life…
they’ll step right into it.

✨ Bottle feed a baby goat
✨ Watch a goat being milked
✨ Collect fresh eggs from the coop
✨ Meet and feed pigs, cows, goats, chickens, and ducks
✨ Get hands-on with four-legged friends, feathered friends, and pollinators
✨ Explore both Ohana Homestead and the Hive & Home apiary

And in our final week…
🌼 We’ll head into the world of bees, getting up close and personal while planting pollinator gardens together.

This is muddy boots, full hearts, and hands-on learning they’ll remember.

Not a classroom… a real experience.

🗓 Tuesdays | 10:00–11:30 AM
📅 Begins TOMORROW
⏰ Enrollment closes TONIGHT at 8PM

If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your moment 🤍

🌿 One Week Away… and Almost Full 🌿

A week from today, our 3-week Farm School Series begins… and we only have a few spots left.

This is one of those moments where families either jump in… or message later saying, “I wish we had signed up.”

Over these three weeks, your child will get to:
🐐 Bottle feed a baby goat
🥛 Observe a real goat milking
🐣 Hold chicks and learn where eggs come from
🌱 Plant, explore, and connect with pollinators
🍯 Taste fresh honey straight from the hive
🌿 Get messy, curious, and completely immersed in nature

This isn’t pretend play… it’s real, hands-on farm life in a safe, welcoming space.

It’s slow mornings, dirty hands, full hearts… and the kind of learning that actually sticks.

And truthfully… this is a small group experience.
Once these last few spots are gone, that’s it for the season.

✨ April 28, May 5, May 12
🕙 10:00–11:30 AM
📍 Ohana Homestead + Hive & Home

If you’ve been thinking about it… this is your nudge.

👉 Go ahead and grab your spot now before they’re gone. https://hiveandhomebeeco.com/products/farm-school-tifton-ga

Because next week, we’ll be out there feeding animals, planting seeds, and making memories… and I’d love for your family to be part of it. 🌿

Tomorrow feels a little bittersweet…our last spring Forest School session with our groups.

There have been muddy knees, tiny discoveries,
hands full of things most people would walk right past…
and the kind of joy you only find when you slow down enough to notice.

A tadpole in the palm of your hand…
a water lily from the pond tucked gently between muddy fingers…
sunlight, dirt, water, wonder.

This is what it looks like to really explore.

Not rushed.
Not over-structured.
Just space to be curious, to get messy, to follow what catches their eye.

And if you’re not quite ready for it to end…
we’re not either.

We have one more chance to gather before the heat of summer settles in…

🌿 Forest School Mini Session
April 29, May 6, May 13

Three slow mornings in the woods…
more exploring, more discovering, more of this kind of magic.

Spots are limited, and they always go quickly.

If this is the kind of childhood you want for your kids…
now is the time to jump in.
