She had a book with a bunch of applique quilts and she made this one. I love the cardinals bringing a bright warm splash of color to the rest of the quilt.

The kids are back in school but that doesn't mean it's late to make something for them, like a nice quilted pencil case.

Some house keeping. Linda still owns Pinery Patches. She has just hired a young person to maintain an active social media presence. This week's submission is from Ann.
"I saw this very cute patchwork dress from Shien and decided to make it myself rather than support fast fashion and get a garment that would disintegrate in two washes. So I've been working on this dress for a few weeks. I hand smocked the back of the dress and did some button embroidery to make this a truly unique and delightful dress. I got all of the fabric except the lining (not pictured) at Pinery patches."
