The $100 silver clay experiment: Part 2 😳
These two pairs of earrings used about one-third of that tiny package—and I made two additional pieces after filming this and have s small amount left. So the $100 blob stretched a little farther than it first appeared. 😂
They’re still fragile, unfired clay. Next comes the kiln, polishing and final assembly… assuming everything survives.
Does it feel slightly less terrifying now?

Apparently I accidentally de-influenced half of Instagram from trying metal clay. 😂
Don’t give up! Bronze and copper clay are much less expensive for learning the basic techniques and making those inevitable beginner mistakes.
Just research the firing requirements before choosing one, because they vary depending on the clay.
Should I show you more of what I’ve made with bronze and copper?

No pressure—it’s only $100 worth of silver clay in a package roughly the size of a condiment packet. 😂

The kids grew up. The house did not get calmer. 😂

And somewhere between the dog chaos, marriage, work, laundry, and trying to remember why I walked into a room… I’m also building a jewelry business.

Honestly, that’s kind of the whole heart behind Bold & Bloom.

This stage of life can feel messy, funny, exhausting and a little bit like figuring out who you are all over again.

So I make pretty things for women right in the middle of it. 🖤🌸

Does anyone else feel like half of adulthood is just putting things away?

The car.
The dishwasher.
The groceries.
The emotional baggage.

Very glamorous. Very empowering. 😂

At this point, I’m not finding myself. I’m just putting things away.
