Every braided rug begins with a vision—and a lot of hands-on craftsmanship. This gorgeous 5' x 8' custom piece is being created in rich shades of purple, taupe, gray, and brown, a combination that's already turning heads.

First comes the cutting, then the fabric is rolled and prepared, and finally the braiding begins. Watching the transformation from strips of fabric into a one-of-a-kind braided rug is one of our favorite parts of the process.

This one is going to be an absolute beauty, and we can't wait to share its progress with you!

Country Braid House is looking for a Part-Time Craft Studio Assistant to join our creative team in Tilton, NH.

For more than 55 years, we've been handcrafting braided rugs right here in New Hampshire, preserving a traditional American craft while creating beautiful custom rugs for homes across the country.

No experience is required—we'll train the right person!

🐾 Dogs know comfort when they find it. 🐾

One of our favorite things about making handcrafted braided rugs is seeing the photos our customers send us—and it seems our four-legged friends are often the biggest fans!

Meet Radar, relaxing on his Country Braid House rug right here in New Hampshire. ❤️

And this handsome fellow is Killian Red, an Irish Setter with a remarkable story. As a therapy dog, Killian spent years bringing comfort and companionship to people in nursing homes, schools, and hospitals. We're honored that he's chosen one of our braided rugs as a favorite resting spot.

Whether they're napping, supervising household activities, or claiming the best seat in the house, pets seem to know exactly where the cozy spots are.

In the braided rug world, a beautiful butt is something to be proud of! 😄

Most braided rugs are made from one continuous rope of braid that wraps around and around until the rug reaches its finished size. But for a perfectly round rug with flawless concentric circles, we use the butting technique to achieve this.

That means each row is individually started and ended with a carefully crafted "butt" that blends seamlessly into the design.

This custom 6'8" round rug will include 47 butts - 6 done, 41 more to go!

This stunning custom braided rug is on its way to its new home, and we couldn't be more excited! 🌴☀️

Measuring nearly 13 feet across, this beauty is truly a statement piece. The vibrant blend of sunny yellows, rich blues, and fresh greens creates a design that's full of life and color. In fact, it's so large that I couldn't even fit the entire rug into one photo! 😍

Every custom rug we create for our clients are handcrafted with care, and seeing them head off to become part of someone's home never gets old. We can't wait for this gorgeous piece to be enjoyed in beautiful Jupiter, FL.
