The time has come for me to take stock of my life and my business. When I started Make It Sew, the plan was to do quilting and embroidery to supplement my retirement income. However, I retired in December 2019 and things didn't go as planned. I knew a small town wouldn't be enough traffic for fabric so it was on the back burner. Covid hit and I started selling fabric online, A LOT OF FABRIC. That changed the trajectory of the business. For several years Charlene and I posted, invoiced, cut and shipped thousands of yards of fabric. It kept us going through the pandemic. After Mom's passing and integrating her sewing things with mine I have come to the realization that I should get back to my original plan (mostly). So, I am having a huge 1 day blowout fabric close out on September 19, 2026 from 8:00-4:00. I will be offering all the 45"fabric for $4.50 per yard and all 108" fabric for $8.00. There will be books, lace, zippers, machine embroidery thread and supplies, a commercial embroidery machine, a baby lock sewing machine, patterns, scraps....... I will set up an event closer to time with pictures. So going forward I hope to concentrate on quilting for customers and piecing quilts.
