It’s with heavy hearts today that we share the passing of our dear friend, Mike Root.
From day one of our shop opening, Mike became a regular and a friend to our team, always a joy to talk to and someone who helped make Space Coast Games feel like home.
Mike always talked about joining a Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign once he retired because, in his words, the older stuff was just better than 5th Edition. Unfortunately, that adventure never came. He loved his miniatures and often spoke about painting them in his free time, though he’d jokingly admit he had far more unpainted ones than his wife thought he should.
Mike, you were loved by your community, and you made an impact on all of us here at Space Coast Games. Your seat at the table may be empty, but your stories, laughter, and friendship will stay with us.
May your dice always roll high, your adventures never end, and may you find yourself at a table where the campaign goes on forever.
Rest in peace, Mike. ❤️
