This September, we are directing 10% of all proceeds to an amazing organization creating a space in New York City to build community for Native Americans: The American Indian Community House American Indian Community House Inc. (AICH) !

AICH has had 11 locations in the last 56 years and are trying to secure funding to provide a permanent home for their members. Their current space provides events, performances, a kitchen, inter-tribal food pantry and an art gallery. We are excited to help support their growth towards sovereignty in New York City!

When tenants unite, they have far more power than when alone. This is the core principle of the Hudson Valley Tenants Union, which works to build tenant associations that can shift the balance of power away from landlords. Together, tenants can address high rents and poor living conditions while building a resilient community.

The housing crisis affects everyone, and anyone can get unsolved by learning to organize with their neighbors, spreading the word, or supporting community eventsā€¦

KEFC is a non-hierarchical grassroots coalition of many different members: Direct service providers, not-for-profits, activists, and community members coming together with the goal that everyone have an abundance of food to eat. With that goal in mind KEFC stands out for its work helping these organizations and individuals collaborate!

Yes, we are open this Independence Day, and we are ā€œobservingā€ it by raising money for the Prairieland defendants. In lieu of celebration, consider throwing a couple of bucks their way (link in bio).

The state and federal governments have levied ruinous charges on 17 people thus far. One of them - Sanchez Estrada - was sentenced to 30 years in prison for ā€œmoving a box of anti-fascist zines after the protest.ā€ These sentences come after the executive order designating antifa (which is not an organization) a Domestic Terrorist Organization in September 2025. The administration is trying to make an example out of these defendants.

If we, as the public, donā€™t show them support - weā€™re all in trouble.

This June we celebrate our 6th birthday, and what seems like an absolutely WILD amount of money raised & donated: $126,836!!! All of it to radical social justice initiatives, and all of it through the sale of secondhand clothing. Thrift 2 Fight exists because our community said ā€œyes, we need this!ā€ And weā€™ve tried to create what our community deserves: a fun, affordable thrift shop where everyone is welcome 6 days a week, with events, sales, and even a Free Room once a month.

Our donation model is non-negotiable. We set aside 10% of all proceeds before paying our bills. Somehow, this (plus our year of 100% of sales donated) brought us to donating well over $100k since 2020, no strings attached. Weā€™re so happy to be able to say this. And it brings us to the most important part: YOU. Youā€™ve volunteered your time, donated your beautiful clothes, helped us with advice, lent an ear (or two), and got your wedding outfits here. Youā€™ve twirled around with your kids and brought your student groups to us. We love you in the way someone loves their most helpful & kind neighbor. Thank you, and we hope to see you again soon, and again and again!

Happy Fatherā€™s Day (and first day of summer)! Through Monday we are offering 20% off for all dads out shopping with their loved ones. We have a vast selection of all kinds of dad-ish stuff like ties, sports jerseys, graphic t-shirts, and even a few fishing vests!

Last Sunday, we celebrated Bambiiā€™s last day at Thrift 2 Fight šŸ„¹ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ (why is there no sad celebration emoji??) They brought so much into this space: from beautiful displays and infectious joyful attitude, to extensive knowledge about horror manhwa and ancient mythology.

We loved working with you, Bambii! Good luck with your new job teaching kiddos Spanish šŸ„°
