Prep work well under way for Cyfair ladles Auxiliary - Shop till you drop. Saturday 9am to 4pm at The Berry Center. 275 vendors ! Today was vanilla pecan day. Each batch consists of 1lb of fresh pecans and a generous glug of vanilla bean paste. A great snack, or atop fresh strawberry spinach salad or on top of sweet potato casserole.

Whilst on vacation I wanted to source Dominican Republic Vanilla Beans. Alas it is not their time to harvest yet. I did meet a lovely farmer who is going to stay in contact and let me know when they are ready 😊 We were able to purchase some Dominican Republic Rum to use once the vanilla beans arrive. So happy day !
