🚧 DEMO DAY IS HERE! 🚧

Things are officially moving at the future home of The Quilty Shop! Demolition has begun on the property, making way for the brand new space we’ve been dreaming up for our shop and our quilting community.

We’re currently projected to begin construction next month, with the goal of welcoming you into our new home in May 2027!

There is still a lot of work ahead, but seeing equipment on the property makes this huge milestone feel very real. We cannot wait to watch this space transform and bring you along for every step of the process. The next chapter of The Quilty Shop is officially underway! 💕

Last week, Tanya, Ashley, and Thomazine attended BERNINA University in New Orleans, and we came home feeling inspired, encouraged, and more excited than ever for what is ahead at The Quilty Shop.

As a brand new BERNINA dealer, we learned so much about BERNINA as a family-owned company, their heart for service, the quality and capability of their machines, and the incredible community that surrounds the brand. From the launch of beautiful new products, including the Liberty editions that are sooo us, to the classes, conversations, and connections we experienced throughout the week, it truly felt like confirmation that this is the next right step for our shop and our customers.

BERNINA’s tagline, Made to Create, feels so in line with the heart of The Quilty Shop. This year’s BERNINA University theme, Imagine More, also left us encouraged and challenged to imagine more for our shop, our customers, and the creative experiences we can offer. SO MUCH BRAINSTORMING!!

Many of you have been asking about the timeline, so here is the latest: our BERNINA team will attend BERNINA's New Dealer Training in a few weeks so we can be fully equipped to sell machines and serve our customers well. We anticipate launching BERNINA at The Quilty Shop by mid-September, when our first shipment of machines is expected! At that time, we plan to begin selling BERNINA machines and servicing BERNINA machines in-store.

✨ New Pattern + New Class Alert! ✨

The Quilty Shop is proud to be publishing a brand new quilt pattern by one of our very own team members, Shelby Bercu (Shelby)! Notions of Joy is Shelby’s original design, inspired by Ruby Star’s 1-800-Notion collection (expected to arrive in-shop later this month)! She designed this pattern for those who love the creativity, comfort, and connection quilting brings.

To celebrate her pattern release (expected late July!), Shelby will be teaching a special three-session Notions of Joy quilt class right here at The Quilty Shop!

This modern 72” x 96” quilt is filled with playful hearts, buttons, spools, fabric bundles, half-square triangles, and colorful patchwork. Over the course of three sessions, Shelby will guide you through block construction, accurate piecing tips, setting blocks, and beginning your quilt top assembly.

🪡 LAST MINUTE CLASS ADDITION! Kick off your summer with a fun, whimsical project. ✨

We decided to add Ms. Tanya's highly requested Jelly Roll Rug class to the calendar for NEXT SATURDAY, May 30!

This class will give novice sewists practice with zigzag stitching and trying out a more unique project. Tanya doesn't teach very often, but when she does, the classes fill up fast. Reserve your spot now! (🔗 Link in comments)
