Come join us on Sunday, August 16th at 2pm for the Out and Open Book Club, where we will be discussing Yang Shuāng-Zi ‘s award winning novel “Taiwan Travelogue”

Set in Japanese occupied Taiwan, the story follows a Japanese writer and her relationship with her interpreter as they travel the island. Told as a story within a story, this complex and rich portrait of colonization and oppression centers translation, in all its myriad forms.
