Several years ago I felt God calling me to step back from having a commitment to painting and I pulled out of having a booth, stopped taking custom paint jobs and packed up the paint supplies temporarily….. All I knew at the time was that I felt like God was telling me that my family needed me more. Little did I know what the next year would bring! That my friends I could write not a book on but a series! But what I have learned more than anything through all the things that happened then and since is that God never leaves me, He continues to mold me and make me into what He would have me to be. He continues to write my story and just like all the mistakes I made painting that turned into a beautiful piece, not necessarily the one I had planned but still they were salvaged, He continues to fix my horrible messes and “paint”something beautiful in my life out of the wrong turns. He has used the trials to bring me closer to Him and to where I need to be.

In some way or another I have still been creating this entire time, painting bedrooms and kitchens for Hope, bedrooms for Hunter and Macey, completely redoing my kitchen, making new things, decorating, selling completely different items and I’m ready to share it all with you! So welcome back as I share the journey to get back here and all that is new!

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again but I am so very proud of Connie and her mare Aspens Shining Special! Connie Moll is one of the kindest people I know and one of the hardest workers. She strives to do her very best and works hard at achieving it. She and Aspen had some of their best patterns ever, went in to a World Show in W flush classes for their first time together and Connie’s first in several years and did great! I could go on and on as I am so very fortunate to be on this journey with them and all of us at the barn are always in her corner but I’ll thank her once again and congratulations from all your barn family, we are so very proud of you. I’m blessed to call you friend!

I have taken some time off from painting furniture… thinking perhaps it could be time for a come back…. What do you all think?

Lots of new items in the booth at Topeka Vendors Market. They are open tomorrow, Friday and Saturday check it out we are on the lower level!
Also what do you think should we bring DIY kits to you online?!?
