How do you carry your clips?

It's about time to start camping again, now that the heat waves seem to be over.

Pictured is my foolproof way to find my car in case of issues in the night: apply 1 electric candle to the top of the car. When nighttime rolls around, the desert gets quite dark. That candle can be spotted from a heck of a good distance away, in all directions. The battery lasts days. Park the car on a high spot and it acts like a weak lighthouse. I'm always able to find my car.

We've had a fair amount of rain and growth out here. Some of the old spots are changing a bit. Guess it's time to get back out there!

Nothing much going on with this rifle right now. Had it out in the desert after a long day of shooting, thought it would look good with some odd lighting.

Weather's finally cooling off.
That means range time.

Coming up on the docket:
1. Green M40 on a Scar (.308). Heard of someone doing this, and now I'm curious.
2. Build a muzzleloader. Somehow, I (Scott) don't own a muzzleloader yet. This needs to change.
3. BSA MkII and 20X max range. I want to know how far I can reliably throw a .22 with this rifle.
4. .308 mile shoot. I have no reason to lob .308 out to a mile other than for fun.

Been a while since I've shot .45-70 out to any fun distance. My shoulder misses the recoil.
