Well it official. The sign is down (Lou is taking it !) and Liam and Jeff, who own Torrington Detailing, are taking it over to expand their business. I can’t think of two better people to take over the space. They are hardworking excellent friendly guys and if you need any detailing please give them a call.
I think Jack would have been happy to see them move into the space. Can’t believe how big that place is with nothing in it!!!
Goodbye Mother’s!! There are still some great memories floating around in there I’m sure!!
Probably won’t be posting much here except for yearly tribute and any updates on Lila who is doing fine.

Today is a year that Jack Delaney, The Comic King, left this earthly plateau. We heard the comics eventually ended up with a dealer in New Jersey. Another dealer got most of the albums and whatever was left. The sign still up over the store-My Mother Threw Mine Away with that picture of the mom in the curlers taking out the trash, makes me a little sad.when I drive by ir stop st the bank or CVS. We miss him enormously.

That means I’ve had Lila with me for a year! She is doing fine. Has gotten used to sharing space with two cats. Likes having a yard to run around. She can be a bit excited as anyone who ever came into the store would know but she’s definitely part of the family.

There is a marker now at his gravesite at Willow Garden Cemetery, the old St. Francis Cemetery on Willow street. Placed there by The Veterans. The Boy Scouts put up a flag.

So if you were a friend or customer or neighbor please take a moment to day to stop and remember Jack. Wherever he is I hope he’s winning big!

Miss you my friend!!!

Today would have been Jack’s 73rd Birthday. I think of the stuff he’s already missed in the past 4 months he’s been gone. It’s strange not going to the store and getting it ready for Christmas.
Well Happy Birthday old friend. You are in a better place.
