Adding support to your fragile flower petals is SO crucial! Petal loss is something I have been working to combat for years. Flowers like mums and gerberas love to shed their petals during removal, this is an easy way to fix that problem while maintaining the appearance from the top!

Iā€™m using 18 gauge floral wire and floral tape from hobby lobby or Michaelā€™s. Get whatever is the most budget friendly!

You donā€™t want to use parchment paper because hot glue will peel from it. Tissue paper works the best out of what Iā€™ve used so far.

Preservation has taught me many things but mostly that you need a lot of patience and you have to listen to your flowers. If youā€™re finding it hard to hear them, slow down and turn off your mind. This is not a fast task and not an easy skill to learn, but very rewarding if you can go with the flow.

You might mess up tons of times but youā€™ll learn every single time. Every lesson gets you closer to your ideal result. In all parts of life, not just preservation. Practice with the clearance flowers at the grocery store and find the fun in failure. Because failure is what leads to expertise, itā€™s what leads to success šŸ’–

People think I preserve flowers. The truth is... Iā€™m preserving the stories that wouldā€™ve disappeared with them. Donā€™t let your story go untold, one day it could be your great great grandchildren asking to see your wedding video because of a piece like this. To give your moment life once again, is priceless.

One of the prettiest bouquets Iā€™ve ever dried šŸ™ŒšŸ»Flourish & FĆŖte what incredible flowers you have! I had a little surprise with the color shift on the callas. They were pinky/fushia to start and ended up this insanely unique green/purple combo. Thatā€™s one reason why I love preservation. Every flower is unique, even the exact same variety may dry slightly differently from grower to grower. They are such an incredibly cool color! Had to match that edgier vibe with the trailing amaranthus, as if it broke through the frame.

Anyways it was a pleasure and for now, this one is going down as number 1 šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø
