Today was one of those days that reminds us why we love what we do. Beekeepers came in from all over—some familiar faces we’ve known for years, and others just beginning their journey into beekeeping. There’s something special about seeing that excitement firsthand… the start of new hives, new learning, and a deeper connection to the land.
That said, the day didn’t go entirely as expected.
Unfortunately, several of our customers were ticketed by the Travelers Rest Police Department for vehicles partially on the sidewalk during pickup. In over 20 years of hosting package pickup days, we’ve never encountered an issue like this, and we understand how frustrating and unexpected it was for those affected.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who experienced this. If you received a ticket at today's bee pickup, please let us know. We value you as our customer and we are committed to fixing this problem.
We’ve since been in communication with Mayor Brandi Amidon, who has assured us that this situation has been addressed.
We’re grateful for the patience, understanding, and support of this incredible beekeeping community. Days like today are about growth—both for the bees and the people who care for them—and we remain committed to making your experience with us a positive one.
Thank you for being part of it. 🐝
