Okayyyyy Sip & Sit 2026!!! WHAT. A. NIGHT.

Kristy, Karen, and I hosted our second annual Harvest Party! One long table in the vines of Longcore Vineyard, a killer dinner from Chef Jim Morse, beautiful w**es flowing, Glunkty playing music, the absolute BEST group of people filling every seat, and Mother Nature showing off!

To everyone who came, enjoyed, laughed, stayed awhile and made the whole night what it was, THANK YOU. Getting to dream up nights like this was beyond fun. Getting to actually live them with all of you is even better!

Who’s Handling the PR Here? | Ep20

Big things are happening over here. We’re making a w**e together, taking a group to Piedmont, Italy and continuing to come up with ideas that create more work for ourselves. Very on brand.

But the real question this week is: who the hell is handling the PR around here? Some things have been unfairly judged for years and we’re ready to defend them. Others have convinced everyone they’re incredible and we have questions.

We get into w**e, food, travel, getting older, things we’ve changed our minds about and a few opinions we’re prepared to stand behind. Consider this our completely unsolicited attempt to fix some reputations.

Incredible tasting today with our Travaglini Gattinara! Thanks for hosting Trattoria Stella! It was an honor to learn about the w**es and taste with fifth generation Alessia Travaglini. The w**es are superb! I’m especially excited about the 2017 Metodo Classico sparkling Nebolè, 100% Nebbiolo.

Happy Hour with Owner Alessandro of Pecorari from Fruili, Italy!
Friday, Oct 9, 4-6 pm

We have a VERY fun Friday Happy Hour tomorrow! Alessandro is joining us all the way from Friuli to pour his family’s w**es and hang out with us at the shop.

Alessandro grew up in San Daniele del Friuli and now runs his family’s estate, overseeing everything from the vineyards to the cellar. He studied finance, history and philosophy before finding his way back to w**e, which feels like a pretty great person to have pouring you a glass on a Friday afternoon.

Come meet Alessandro, taste through the w**es, ask questions or just stop in for a glass. It’s complimentary and casual. Come anytime between 4–6pm that works for you!

Apparently We Do Everything Now | Ep19

Apparently owning a w**e shop means doing pretty much everything except standing around selling w**e.

This week we’re talking about what it takes to keep an independent w**e shop going right now. The events, classes, W**e Club, collaborations, travel, podcast, Substack, making approximately one million different pieces of content, social media, endless ideas and all the other things that definitely weren’t in the original business plan.

The way people shop for w**e has changed, and small shops have had to change with it. We talk about why putting great bottles on the shelf simply isn’t enough anymore, why creating experiences and community matters so much, and what independent shops can offer that you’re never going to get walking down a grocery store w**e aisle.

It’s a lot of work. It’s also insanely fun.

And if tomorrow we come up with another slightly unhinged idea that creates more work for ourselves, there’s an excellent chance we’re going to do that too.
