There’s still a little summer left in Northern Michigan, and our locally grown flowers are making the most of every last day.

These beautiful blooms were grown right here in our region, bringing with them all the color, texture, and personality of the season.

But local flower season doesn’t last forever. As the temperatures begin to change, our window for enjoying these fresh-from-the-farm favorites is getting smaller.

One dinner party. Three spaces. Three arrangements. One beautiful story.🌸

For this intimate dinner party, The Flower Station created three unique arrangements, each designed to bring something special to a different space in the home.

✨ A statement arrangement as a welcome in the entryway.

✨Another brought color and texture to the bar.

✨And a third carried the celebration into the kitchen.

Each piece was designed for its own space, while sharing the same rich locally-grown palette of dahlias, hydrangea, amaranthus and unexpected seasonal textures.

Because flowers don’t have to simply sit on the dinner table.

They can set the mood from the moment your guests walk through the door. ✨

We tend to measure progress by what has bloomed: what we can point to, prove, or show the world. But nature doesn’t begin with the flower.

It begins in the dark.

Roots reach deeper before anything reaches toward the light. And perhaps we do, too.

Not all seasons are meant for blooming. Some are meant for becoming.

One arrangement. More than one beautiful moment. 🌸

A large floral arrangement doesn’t have to disappear all at once.

As the days pass, some blooms will naturally finish before others. Instead of saying goodbye to the entire arrangement pull out the blooms that are past their prime. Trim the stems that remain. Find a smaller vase.
Then another. (Yes! We do have bud vases available to purchase)

That one arrangement can become a little bouquet for the kitchen, a few stems beside your bed, or a tiny arrangement on the bathroom counter.

And as it gets smaller, it becomes something entirely new.

Flowers are fleeting. That’s part of what makes them special. But with a little care and creativity, you can enjoy them in different ways long after the original arrangement has begun to change.

One arrangement can tell more than one story. 💐
