The 2026 tart cherry crop is one of the smallest in years after spring weather significantly reduced production across Michigan and other growing regions. With supplies at historic lows, cherry prices are expected to increase throughout the industry.

At Benjamin Twiggs, we planned ahead and secured the Michigan cherries needed to continue making the products you know and love. While you'll likely see higher prices due to the limited crop, our commitment to supporting Michigan cherry farmers and providing authentic, farmer-owned products remains the same.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is forecasting tart cherry production at 91 million pounds, a 36 percent drop year-on-year.
