Our friends at The Still Bar & Grill - Spooner are going through something no family should ever have to face. ❤️

Their grandson, Atticus, is just 2 years old and has been diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. He has a long road of treatment ahead, and his family could use all the love and support our community can give.

The Still has always been incredibly generous with their time, resources and support for our community. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. ❤️

Please save the date and support CUTS FOR A CAUSE: ATTICUS STRONG on Saturday, September 5. There will be a Mega Meat Raffle, raffles, music and so much more, all to help this little family through the months ahead.

Most of you know Nick.

You may know him as the guy responsible for a whole lot of good food coming out of The Still’s kitchen — usually standing over a hot griddle while yelling ‘order’ out the kitchen door. 😉

You might know him from Wednesday night Bingo, while we raise money for another local nonprofit. Or you might just know him as the guy from The Still.

But to Maggie, he’s Dad.

And to one very special little 2-year-old named Atticus, he’s Grandpa.

A few weeks ago, life changed very quickly for their family. What started with a sick little boy and a trip to get him checked out became words no parent ever expects to hear.

By the end of that first week, Atticus was starting chemotherapy and their family had a diagnosis: high-risk neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer.

Now, this little guy is facing approximately 12–18 months of treatment. And behind him are his mom and dad, Maggie and Josiah, trying to navigate a completely different life than the one they thought they’d be living right now.

Our Mega Meat Raffle is still happening — but this year, it has a different purpose.

We’ll have our Mega Meat Raffle, additional raffles, music and plenty more throughout the day — all with one goal: raising as much as we can to help this little family through the long road ahead.

We’re still putting all the pieces together and will have a lot more to share soon!

Even though it’s a Saturday night, we are happy to be working after hours in the roastery, getting ready for the week ahead…
✅restocking our coffee showroom,
✅our Thursday farmers market,
✅our online store, and
✅filling our coffee subscriptions!!

🌲☕️ A little Grand Marais getaway…and a whole lot of memories.❤️❤️🐾

We just got back from one of our favorite little escapes, to Grand Marais, MN, and once again, it reminded us why we love the North Shore so much.

We stayed at one of our all-time favorite hotels, The Mayhew Inn, Grand Marais MN, a charming, unique little boutique hotel right downtown and right on the water. There’s just something special about that place. We love the cozy atmosphere, the beautiful rooms, and especially meeting new friends around the common areas, like the huge fireplace or the awesome rooftop patio!! It feels less like staying at a hotel and more like staying somewhere you belong. ❤️

We also made our first trip up the Gunflint Trail, with a very important stop along the way at our friends’ coffee shop, Loons Nest Coffee. ☕️🫶🏻 The coffee was great, but that cardamom roll…hands down one of the best rolls of any kind we’ve ever had!!😋

And of course, having Yukon along made the trip even better. 🐾 We are so thankful for places that genuinely welcome well-behaved dogs. Yukon is such a magnet and an instant icebreaker—he somehow manages to introduce us to people everywhere we go!

We ended our little getaway with a visit to the breathtaking Split Rock Lighthouse and, naturally, two slices of Betty’s Pies for the ride home. 😋

Good coffee. Beautiful places. New friends. A happy dog. And a little romantic time away together.

That’s a pretty perfect road trip in our book.❤️🌲☕️🐾

Meet Emily! Every month, The Outpost Coffee Company packs up a #5 bag of our Bourbon Pecan coffee and ships it to Emily all the way down to her home in Texas!! ☕️📦

We’ve known her name for quite a while, but we finally got the chance to put a face to the name when Emily was back in the area visiting family and stopped by our booth at the Barron, WI farmers market!!

Emily, thank you for being a loyal Outpost Coffee Company subscriber and for taking a little piece of Wisconsin with you to Texas every month. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

This Friday, August 7th, we celebrate the start of our 20th year as small business owners!!🥳🥳🥳 As a side note, it’s also our 33rd wedding anniversary!!❤️❤️ You read that correctly, we actually opened the doors to our original coffee shop, The Living Room Coffee House, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin back in 2007…ON OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!! Why not, right!!😉😃❤️

Even though our business is now down to just the two of us, working together side by side, The Outpost Coffee Company continues to grow, with this year already projecting out to be our biggest year of coffee sales ever!! We’re not telling you this to brag; we’re telling you this so we can once again say THANK YOU ALL for loving Outpost Coffee so much!!! We are thrilled and genuinely humbled that you all appreciate our coffee as much as you do.

And…as another little side note…our marriage grows stronger and more loving than ever every single day!!😃❤️🥰 We say we have captured lightning in a bottle and have created something beautiful, magical, and forever.🥹❤️

Some friendships happen instantly. ❤️🐾♥️

Today, sweet Elsie stopped into The Outpost and completely fell in love with Yukon. She was pretty sure he should be going home with her… but after a few hugs, kisses, and lots of smiles, she happily settled for a husky stuffie that looks just like him. 🐺

Moments like these are our favorite part of what we do.

🤩 WELL, THIS WAS PRETTY AWESOME!! 🤩

✈️ Troy and his wife are flying out to Alaska on Friday to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary, and so today he rolled his big rig into The Outpost Coffee Company parking lot to pick up a bag of “Bear Paws” coffee (Chocolate, Peanut Butter, & Caramel) to take with them on their trip!!! 🎉

We are so frickin’ honored to be their coffee of choice for such a momentous occasion and special vacation!! Our heart overflows!! ♥️🥳🙌♥️
