Move over pool tables, Mahjong has a new room in the house!

If you haven’t heard, Mahjong is totally taking the country by storm. Not only are people playing at their kitchen tables, community centers, and places like CC Mahj Co., they’re converting unused offices, guest rooms, and even barns into mahjong spaces to host their family and friends.

In the process, something amazing is happening. Families are connecting in ways they haven’t in a long time. We’re scrolling less on our phones and engaging more with those around us. We’re laughing around tables that have sat empty for too long, and we’re making room for new friends in our lives. For community.

Do you have to decorate your spaces super cute for people to come play mahjong with you? Of course not! But, it sure is fun to make cute tablescapes, photo ops, and cozy spaces to enjoy our favorite game!

We can officially confirm that standing in front of the mirror chanting, “I will not buy another mahjong mat… I will not buy another mahjong mat…” is completely ineffective. 😂

So instead… let’s celebrate making it halfway through Monday by treating yourself to a new mat or two! 💁‍♀️✨
