Not everything at Reiki Rock Shop has to be serious, and this little guy is proof.

This is our Howlite Gnome, standing at 2.7 inches of absolute charm. He's carved from genuine Howlite, so his coloring is that beautiful, serene white with elegant black veining running through it like a winter landscape. Every single one is different because every piece of Howlite is different.

Howlite is actually a wonderful calming stone. It's one of the first ones I recommend for people who struggle with sleep or with shutting off an anxious mind. There's a gentleness to it that feels almost like a sigh of relief.

The fact that this energy comes in gnome form? I think that's perfect. He's $20 and ready for a good home.

We are obsessed with this beauty. Our 4.7-inch Sodalite Sphere arrived and honestly, we almost kept her for ourselves.

The way the deep blues and blacks swirl together, with those little flecks of yellow and clear quartz catching the light... she genuinely looks like a piece of the night sky, held in your hands.

Sodalite is one of our favorites for a reason. She's calming. She's grounding. She's the stone you reach for when your mind is busy and your spirit needs a gentle reset. People sensitive to her energy often describe a quiet stillness that settles in almost immediately.

I get asked about crystals for sleep more than almost anything else.

Here's the thing: crystals won't knock you out like a sleeping pill. But they can shift the energy of your bedroom into something softer, quieter, and more restful.

The ones I recommend most: Amethyst (calms a racing mind), Selenite (clears the day's energy), and Howlite (quiets that 3 AM worry loop). Keep one on your nightstand. Hold it while you do three slow breaths before bed. Simple, but it works.

I have a soft spot for the pieces that aren't quite perfect.

This little guy has a tiny chip on one edge -- barely noticeable unless you're looking for it. But that chip is exactly why he's listed under "Needs Rescue" on the site. He's still beautiful. Still full of energy. Just needs the right person to look past the flaw.

We started the Needs Rescue section because crystals, like people, don't need to be flawless to be meaningful. Sometimes the imperfect pieces have the most character.

Three weeks until the doors open.

Robert and I have been spending every spare minute getting the shop ready. Painting walls, building shelves, and figuring out how to light crystals so they show their best side. (Harder than it sounds.)

We want this to be more than a store. We want it to be a space where you can slow down, pick up a stone, and actually feel it before you bring it home. No rush. No pressure. Just good energy and good people.
