The sun doesn't cause cancer, unlike sunscreen.
Rates of skin cancer have increased about 200% since the introduction of oxybenzone sunscreen.
This is not a coincidence.
The sun is the greatest source of life on earth. We were supposed to swim freely there, not hide under a layer of vitamin D-blocking chemical.
Instead of soaking up soy cream this summer, start developing your natural sunburn (and tan) with these practices:
Progressive exposition
Starting with zero tolerance to the sun, it is best to enjoy the sun when its rays are at their sweetest: sunset and sunrise.
As you get acclimated, gradually spend more time in the sun wearing clothes and shade to block it whenever you get a burn.
Stop wearing sunglasses
When you put a dark filter on your eyes, your brain receptors are led to thinking it’s dark and you’re not exposed to the sun.
Your body's natural response is to stop releasing melanin on your skin, making it more vulnerable to burns.
Moisturizer and moisturizer
Before, after, and even during sun exposure, hydrate with coconut oil and/or olive oil.
Be extra careful to stay hydrated in the sun. This does not mean drinking pure water, but getting a good dose of hydration with minerals and electrolytes.
Great drinks/snacks in the sun:
-coconut water
-mineral water with sea salt and lime
-freshly pressed fruit juices
-raw milk
-fruit with a pinch of salt sprinkled on top
Diet
Inflammatory seed oils will not only make you feel like garbage, but they will literally burn under your skin in the sun.
Eliminate all processed food from your diet Eat real, whole, natural foods and nutrients.
You will feel better, look better, and your body and skin will be healthier and more sun-receptive.
It is completely stupid to be afraid of the sun.
Adapt these practices + listen to your body when it signals over exposure, and I promise you'll feel nothing but positive health benefits!!!
