Calvin Waters Custom Saddlery & Braiding is a one man shop that strives to provide discerning customers with handmade, one of a kind, quality items that will last. I began my leatherworking journey in braiding gear with kangaroo and have now started using primarily rawhide, which I make myself. I was fortunate to spend the last three years working full-time for Don Gonzales Saddlery in Bryan, TX,

where I learned a great deal from everyone there. I am proud to offer handmade leather gear that will be both aesthetically pleasing and functional. I always try my best to have form follow function because without this, a product is worth nothing if it does not function correctly. All of my patterns are hand drawn, and in doing so, I try my best to make every item a one-off custom. If you have something specific please contact me, we can discuss what you have in mind, and I will do my best to bring that idea to fruition. Prices are always subject to change due to the volatility of the leather industry. If you have pricing questions, I am happy to discuss them with you. Item pricing is based on each item having an individual base price, and the cost will go up depending on tooling, color, and figures such as brands or initials. I am happy to offer a lifetime guarantee on my saddles for both the tree and riggings. This warranty includes both the material and labor cost, and will cost you nothing to replace if they fail due to normal wear and use. This warranty follows the saddle, so if you sell the saddle, no matter how many times, it is still covered. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to visit my page and your interest in my company. If there is anything I can help you with, please call, email, or message me and I will do my best to help.

Please go vote! We've got about 1.5 hours left to vote for the People's Choice Award and this year its turned into a barn burner. I want to thank everyone thats already voted for the headstall Ryan Looper and I built. Its incredibly humbling to have received so many likes when there is so much other talent in this group of makers.

This pair of leggings was a ton of fun to build. A good friend brought me two big pieces of elephant and an idea, and there was actually enough to make these ranch pants that should last a couple of lifetimes. did an amazing job on the hardware. Each concho, the buckle, and the ring has 12k and 14k flowers and sterling overlaid scrolls, and it all really coordinates well with my tooling.

took the video and photos for these and really captured them incredibly well. I wish she lived closer so she could photograph all of my work.

I am blessed to have friends and customers who allow me to not only be creative but also challenge me and push me as a craftsman. Send me a dm or call me, and I'd be more than happy to help bring your ideas to life as well.

For the days you have to punch cows at daylight and catch a board meeting after lunch.

This briefcase was a lot of fun to design and build for . It's been in my head for a while, and it feels really good to finally get it out and have it in the world.

Many thanks are due to for the design advice and to for carrying leather and materials that allow us to make high-quality pieces of functional art. The Mincer hardware from always compliments my tooling and stands out against the black two-tone really well.
