Well, hello there...

Collar City Guitars is a small shop in a small city. We sell used stuff, new stuff, do repairs, and give free advice. We know a lot about guitars, but we learn lots everyday and we love to listen to what you have say. So come on in or give us a call, we'd love to hear from you. A majority of our work is doing repairs and customizing guitars for new and repeat customers. A small shop is a great place for each customer to feel like they are getting the best treatment. We had fun with the project for our buddy Graham Tichy with Los Straitjackets.
The 🎼Mastery Bridge setup was great to work with and is a great improvement. Can’t wait to work Graham more in the future, he’s the best!

Let’s make a Telecaster bridge pickup!
We are still learning lots about pickups, wire, magnets, and tone! It’s been so much fun that we wanted to share some of the steps in the construction of a Telecaster bridge pickup.
This red hot little pickup has alnico 8 magnets and 10.33k turns of 42 gauge wire. We left this pickup un-potted to see how it would sound. It’s nice and open but definitely has a tendency to feedback. It works great at a lower volume. Maybe the perfect setup for a studio guitar.
Let us know your questions and answers in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

Making an unusual one today! Working on a Charlie Christian style tele bridge pickup for a project with .
This tele will also have an authentic 1930’s Gibson Charlie Christian pickup in the neck. We routed the biggest hole for that pickup.
In this video we are using our winder and our Traverse to make a pickup to match the vintage pickup.
More on this project soon!

Wow! This is one for the record books! We sent this Gibson Les Paul off to Bill Nash to get his Nashguitars LP Aging treatment and we are amazed by the results!
This guitar came out great! We are so happy with the feel, playability, and tone of this awesome instrument.
Bill and his team stripped, sanded, and re-finished the entire guitar. The frets were replaced as well as the hardware and pickups! (DiMarzio Bluesbucker & Air Norton) All of the hardware and plastics were aged and the wiring was replaced and upgraded as well.
You ready for the craziest part ?!? It has already sold!!! We had it on the floor for about an hour before it was snatched up and sold to a musician who said, “This one is special. It is one of the best playing Les Paul’s I’ve ever played in my life”
Thanks to Bill and his team at Nashguitars - keep the good work coming!!

This sweeet little guitar was put together by a customer. He did a fantastic job! ONE Seymour Duncan pickup with a switch that has: a) full humbucker b) split humbucker c) straight to the output!
Tons of tone and versatility for a single pickup guitar. With its refinished oil neck and sleek black finish this thing is a winner! $375
