This is absolutely one of my favorite finds ever!

This is a French country vaisselier, and the “Made in France” label is original.
The piece has a particularly attractive warm cherry-toned finish and classic French provincial lines. The upper section is designed in the traditional vaisselier manner for displaying plates and serving pieces, with three open plate shelves, turned spindle galleries, a paneled back, and beautifully shaped/scalloped shelf aprons. The curved sides and deeply molded cornice give it a graceful architectural presence.
The lower buffet provides substantial storage behind two raised-panel cabinet doors, along with two drawers. I especially like the shaped door panels, decorative brass escutcheons and pulls, gently curved apron, and cabriole-influenced feet. Those details keep such a large piece from looking heavy.
