Boston-born artist Hugh Cabot lived and worked in Tubac for nearly 40 years before passing away in 2005. During those nearly 40 years, Cabot created some of the most iconic, bold, and powerful depictions of Western landscapes. But when he wasn’t painting the Santa Rita Mountains, he was often sketching smaller local landscapes and even his distinctive cowboys.

Hugh Cabot and his art will always be part of Tubac’s legacy and we at Cobalt will continue to do our part in sharing his art with all of you!
