Dear friends and neighbors,
We reserved a number of primo items to set the stage for the sale of our building at 1 Presidio Drive. We are now ready to part with them. They include a few large talavera pots, some trunks,
Wrought iron lamps, stone tables, equipale tables, dishes, textiles, large wood benches, wood and leather rocking chairs, and a number of smaller items. We will be opening the doors on
This coming Saturday, April 16th, from 10 am to 3 pm. Everything is priced to sell, cash only. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for all of the support during the end of an era sale. It was truly incredible. At this point La Paloma is totally liquidated. Although
Most of it went home with customers, several shops have fragments
Of our collection. Arte de la Vida in Tucson have some retablos and lots of good stuff. The Patagonia Trading Company has a wide variety of nice items including the fused glass and blown glass hummingbirds. The Tucson Museum of art gift shop has some fine
Silver jewelry from Peru, and Chulucanas pottery. We donated
Guatemalan bags to the United Nations Center in Tucson. We donated the rest of what was left including all the dinnerware to
The Tubac State Park gift shop. They will have it displayed next week.
We are finishing the restoration of our historic building and hope to
Get it on the market by November.
We will never forget all the good times we shared with everyone.
Thank you again
Hasta Siempre
Bill and Cheryl

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support. I can’t tell you how much this has meant to Cheryl and I. In keeping with a La Paloma tradition we’d like to share a song with you. It’s a love song. Don’t worry too much about the words, just feel it. In brief, it is about making birds from clay and making them fly. You all helped us do that.
But now is the time to realize that our sentiments are also birds of clay and it is time to let them fly. You can help us do that too. Now is the time to celebrate all the good times
that we have shared at La Paloma. So please, let this song lift you up. Thanks to Manolo Garcia and the incredible musicians. They sing for us, and for you.

It isn’t winding down quite the way Cheryl and Bill Green wanted, but so much in their 35-year adventure has been a surprise that they’re taking it in stride.
