What a difference!

Two friends and I tried a little experiment. The photo on the left was taken by a nonprofessional photographer. Then our professional photographer friend took the same iPhone and captured the shot on the right.

Her idea to have me sit down, her positioning, and her understanding of light and composition changed the whole photo.

A few takeaways for your next shot:

☀️Find flattering light it makes such a difference.

🪑 Try sitting down or changing your angle.

🖼️ Look at the whole frame, including the background.

💃 A little direction can help a pose feel natural.
