Battery Service Update
I wanted to personally let everyone know about a major change we’re making at the shop.
Over the years, I’ve tested, diagnosed, repaired, and rebuilt hundreds of e-bike batteries. It’s a service we’ve been proud to offer because very few shops are able to do it.
Unfortunately, the reality is that most batteries simply aren’t repairable, and proper diagnostics aren’t a quick process. Battery testing requires specialized equipment and can take weeks just to determine whether a battery can even be saved due to volume of repairs. We also experimented with battery conversions using replacement cases, but too many projects ended up being incompatible or simply not economical to complete.
Rather than have customers waiting weeks only to find out their battery can’t be repaired, I’ve decided it’s time to change our approach.
Effective immediately:
✅ We’ll continue selling replacement batteries for our supported models.
✅ We’ll continue diagnosing battery issues on e-bikes that we sell.
❌ We will no longer repair, rebuild, or convert customers e-bikes with any aftermarket batteries effective immediately.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but I’d rather focus our time on providing faster, more reliable service than continuing a process that too often leaves everyone frustrated.
