This is a piece that is 10 x 8 x 5 inches. Made with a cholla cactus root and embellished with bone and turquoise nuggets. It has a unique webbing on the bottom. This is one of my larger more complex pieces. I used natural and dyed needles, leaving the pine needle caps for embellishment. I also did a braided top rim using natural reed. Here is three of my smaller pieces. The one on top is 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. This is an example of the coiling process which starts on this piece, in the center bottom of the piece. Starting here is time consuming and difficult, and not many other coiling artists do this. I believe a coiled center is the most beautiful part of any basket. The other two, show how the coiling begins on a decorated base, which saves a lot of time. These two pieces have pottery bases, handcrafted by me. I use natural materials of bone and stone beads and turquoise nuggets. Hope you like and share. If you have any questions, just message me!

I’m in the process of creating a business page. It will be my hope to share my pine needle art. Since COVID, I removed my pieces from two local Tucson galleries. I enjoy making them, and I will post pieces that will be for sale. Because I will no longer have to pay a commission on my sales, I will be able to sell my pieces at a reduced price. These pieces are all one of a kind, handmade from pine needles and some with pottery elements that are also made by me. If you like my work, I hope you’ll share my page with some of your friends too! I hope to have some pictures to share shortly!
