Yesterday was such a beautiful day!
We were so honored to welcome UA Cielo and the amazing students of Dr. Tarnia Newton to the Galería! From exploring the space to a heartfelt barrio walk with Mel Dominguez, the conversations about art in community, cultural diversity, and the challenges we navigate together were truly inspiring. 🫶🏽
To each and every student — thank you. The artwork you created is stunning and meaningful, and we are so excited that your pieces will be included in our free hygiene kits available to community members. Every kit will carry a little piece of your creativity and heart. 🤎

Bring your worn or torn favorites and learn the art of visible mending (sashiko stitching) in a relaxed, community centered workshop. Got some jeans all rasgados? Una camisa with holes? Tráetela.

We’ll patch, reinforce, and reimagine our clothing by adding beauty, intention, and new life to the pieces we love.
