Calicchio R3/2 Trumpet with Calicchio Case and Bag

Here’s a Calicchio R3/2 trumpet, serial number 7321.

This is the R3 bell with the #2 leadpipe. Calicchio literature describes the R3/2 setup as a red brass #3 bell paired with the #2 leadpipe. The spec sheet lists the R3 bell as a 5” red brass bell and the #2 leadpipe with a .348 venturi.

It has a brushed finish with polished accents and red felts.

It includes a hard to find Calicchio embroidered case and matching Calicchio bag. The bag has some stains and has a missing handle and zipper pulls - although the zippers are functional.

This is a very versatile Calicchio that’s at home in almost any setting.

Olds Super Recording Trumpet with Original Lifton Case

Here’s an Olds Super Recording trumpet in mint condition.

The Super Recording is one of the most desirable Olds models ever made, and this is the kind of example that almost never shows up. It is all original, the engraving is crisp and clear, the finish presents beautifully, and the compression is perfect.

This horn has been cleaned, polished, and has new felts and corks. The valves are excellent, the slides are smooth, and it plays amazing.

The Super Recording was Olds’ top-level recording/studio model from the 1940s. Olds literature referred to these as the Recording Model Super trumpet but it’s commonly called the Super Recording and features a forward-balanced valve section, offset second valve, distinctive wrap, and a very efficient .460 medium-large bore, a 4 3/4” bell and the distinctive tone ring.

This one also includes its original Lifton case, which is a significant part of the package.

Kalison Milano Mini Trumpet

This is a Kalison Milano mini trumpet in excellent condition.

Kalison was an Italian brass maker based in Milan. They are best known for larger brass instruments, but they also made specialty instruments, including these playable miniature trumpets.

This is not a decorative miniature. It is a playable half-size B-flat trumpet. These are associated with Kalison’s “Orchestrina” instruments, a small-format line intended to be real playing instruments rather than display pieces.

This example presents very well. The finish, engraving, valves, slides, and trim are all clean.

These are very rare and have previously sold for over $6000.
