😂🚨 DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES, Y’ALL! 🚨😂
ONE WEEK TO SHOWTIME! 🎄🎉
And apparently, I’m taking this whole craft show promotion thing VERY seriously… because here I am, holding a handwritten sign like it’s 1973. 🤣
But first, let me introduce myself!
👋 HI! I”M Carrie Kirby THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE 53RD ANNUAL ESA CRAFT SHOW! ❤️
I’ve spent the last several months working behind the scenes to make this year’s show something special, and now that we’re just ONE WEEK AWAY, I’ve got one more little mission up my sleeve.
But first, a little history lesson…
The members of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Alpha Rho Chapter have been putting on this craft show since 1973!
That’s 11 YEARS BEFORE MARK ZUCKERBERG WAS EVEN BORN! 😂
These members built a wonderful community tradition long before Facebook, Instagram, hashtags, algorithms, or AI-generated graphics were even a thing!
They did it with hard work, word of mouth, good old-fashioned advertising, and a whole lot of dedication. ❤️
And here I am, 53 years later, trying to figure out how to get the Facebook algorithm to love us. 🤦♀️😂
So today, we’re taking it back to basics!
NO FANCY GRAPHICS. NO AI-GENERATED FACE. JUST ME, MY HANDWRITTEN SIGN, AND A SLIGHTLY RIDICULOUS GOAL! 🤣
Here’s the deal…
I DON’T THINK MOST OF MY CHAPTER MEMBERS EVEN KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE FOLLOW OUR CRAFT SHOW PAGE!
We’re currently at 236 FOLLOWERS, and we’ve gained 26 of those in just the last few days!
But I want to do something a little crazy…
😈 I WANT TO BLOW THEIR MINDS!
I want to walk into that church next Saturday morning, look at these wonderful members, and announce…
“MEMBERS, WE HAVE 300 PEOPLE FOLLOWING OUR CRAFT SHOW!” 🤯🎉
And then I want to watch their faces! 😂
WE ONLY NEED 64 MORE!
Now, 300 followers might not seem like a big deal to some people, but to a small nonprofit chapter that’s been putting on this show since before the internet existed?
THAT’S A BIG DEAL TO ME! ❤️
And here’s the other thing…
I’m not just trying to fill the church with shoppers next Saturday.
I’M TRYING TO BUILD SOMETHING THAT WILL KEEP GROWING FOR NEXT YEAR, AND THE YEAR AFTER THAT! 🎄
Because this craft show deserves to be known throughout Broken Arrow and beyond!
Our chapter works incredibly hard to put on this annual fundraiser, and the money we raise helps support local and national charities.
The more people who know about our show, the more people we can reach, the more we can support our talented vendors, and ultimately, the more good we can do in our community. ❤️
