The devil likes to show out in private - expose him

08/13/2026

I was three months old when I was handed to someone who wasn't my mother.

That's where my story starts. Adoption. Foster care. A kid who got loved, and still spent a long time wondering about the people who
weren't there.

Some of you know me as Pretty Willie. I chased it. I got some of it.

And I'll tell you what selfish ambition does. It takes you places you didn't want to be, and you get there empty.

In 2009 I reached for my biological mother, and I got turned away.

I carried that for eleven years.

Then in 2020 I found my family. All of them. And that rejection I'd been carrying my whole grown life turned out to be a misunderstanding.

Eleven years of a wound that was never even true.

Now hear me on this part, because this is the part I really want you to get.

The ones who raised me are my mother and my father. Not my adoptive ones. Mine. They had me in church in a little pink shirt and white gloves, ushering and praise dancing before I understood a word of it. Everything I am, they put in me.

And the ones who gave me life are my mother and my father too.

I don't have a real family and a backup family. I have two sets of people I love, and I never had to choose. Took me forty one years to find that out.

That was the missing peace.

So here's who I am, plain.

A man who got it wrong before he got it right. A father trying to be present, not perfect. Somebody God is still working on.

And I spend my life getting foster kids into homes, because I know exactly what it is to be the one waiting.

You are not your worst day. He's not done with you.

Love you, Moore. 🙏🏿
