I know I said I was done with dining sets. But I couldn't resist the price on this one. I mean it is solid mahogany. The top of the table was pretty rough so I restained it and gave the legs a freshen up. I painted the chairs a French country blue. I think the blue really brings out the color of the wood.

I sold the trunk table today. I refurbished the trunk and painted it 3 years ago with every intention of selling it. But once it was done I couldn't let it go. That happens sometimes, thankfully not too often. Anyway it has been 3 years and I needed the space so now it has a new home. I hope the lovely young woman that bought it enjoys it.

I'm starting on another dining set. So it's time to move this one out. After painting walls this summer I'm very happy to be back to redoing furniture. I hung on to this set while I worked on the house for a bit. Now I'm sick of painting walls and excited to start on something new. In progress pictures coming soon...

This is the best sander I've ever used. Lightweight, easy to handle, a little loud but that's ok. It makes my job much easier without shaking my fillings out.

I was looking through some photos today and saw a French provincial couch that I redid and sold a long time ago. Then I remembered it had a chair that matched it. After a lot of looking and digging...I found it! Piled high with blankets and comforters. I also found a roll of beautiful white leather. This was meant to be 😌

This was a fun redo. It certainly brightened up this old suitcase. I think I'll keep it for a while. Maybe until we move, then everything goes! Well almost everything.

I found some interesting treasures today. These little accent pieces are fun to experiment on, or try new techniques. Think outside the box and try something fun. After all it's only paint. You can always start over. 🎨😎
