These beautiful barite crystals from one of the most notable barite locals in America will be available this next live sale August 13th 6PM PST.

the Linwood mine is a limestone quarry that began production in 1897 originally an open cut quarry but as demand for the high quality limestone and calcium carbonate minerals increased they began underground operations in 1956.

Barite is a barium sulfate mineral (note the United Kingdom spells it baryte). Comes from the Greek work barys meaning heavy due to the high barium content giving these beautiful specimens some weight to them. Barite forms many different distinct crystal habits depending on locality making it a perfect mineral for focused collecting.

Comfort zone 🏠
We all have one and if I'm being honest I have made a house in mine. Curled up under the blanket by a crackling fire sipping my lavender latte. That is until recently it's as if I have been evicted and the locks changed and the windows barred shut. This business even in this short amount of time has already pushed me into an area so uncharted for me that suddenly I forgot how to read a gps (not that I'm any good at it in the first place don't let me be your codriver). All I have going is this passion. A desire to bring each of you beautiful supportive people Mineral specimens that invoke emotion, an emotion unlike what I have felt of recent. I want it to be a moment of bliss.
Stepping out of your comfort zone is so much scarier than I thought. Putting myself out there for at first strangers later friends with the possibility of judgement being passed onto me. You may be asking, zelan how are we judging you isn't it about the crystals? Well for the most part these specimens I bring you were selected from my eye they took my time and they invoked an emotion for me. At the end of the day I am scared but I'm learning it's ok to be scared as long as I continue to push myself and achieve the goals I have set forth for myself. Well thank you guys for taking the time to read if you did it truly means a lot that I have been supported by each of you

Quartz, hematite pseudomorph after unknown mineral.

Locality - Bessemer claim green mountain King county WA

Unknown mineral whaaaaaaat?!?!?!? Yep unfortunately these super interesting pseudomorphs are a mystery. It's greatly suspected to have been epidote but we do not have any specific proof. Nevertheless they are a Washington classic that is sadly not being found anymore and these were all mined by the late Bart Cannon an extremely well known expert in the field.

Looking at the core we notice the dark metallic hematite with some light sprinkling of quartz also lining the center. I selected this specimen for the video so you could also see the different saturation of red to more of a dark metallic luster throughout the pseudomorph. We then see a fine coating of small white quartz creating a striking contrast. All while coming to a complete termination. Ones this quality are truly becoming seldom and I'm super please to have some available at the next live sale June 14th 4 PM PST.

Smoky quartz

I have hand picked some fantastic and affordable Smoky quartz from one of my personal favorite locality's. I really hope to see you there 🥹🧡☺️

Smoky quartz is created from trace amounts of aluminum in the lattice structure being exposed to gamma irradiation. mostly found in pockets of igneous rock.

These are great additions to any collection and truly fantastic quality. I'm so freaking excited.

Metaphysically ✨ smoky quartz is great and removing unwanted heavy negative emotions that impact your day to day life. It has a strong connection to the earth.

A fantastic example of a American classic. This bed of vibrant uv reactive yellow calcite hosts several nice isolated rootbeer colored barite crystals that are the definition of nice contrast. Will look fantastic in a display case
