A couple recent deliveries

Since I have seen the question asked a couple of times in the past two days, I will explain how I do my deliveries. When you place an order with me, I ask for your students name and phone number. Once we decide what you would like to send, the day of the delivery, I will reach out to your student, identify myself, and let them know that I have a delivery for them. I then ask your student when is a good time for me to deliver. iMessage when I am on my way and again when I arrive. Your student will meet me outside of their dorm or apartment and I hand off the delivery. I take a picture of your student with whatever was just delivered and I send that to you.

You will see a lot of people offering to drive your students in various groups. The city of Tuscaloosa has very strict guidelines for drivers that do this for profit. If someone is offering to drive your student, you should make sure that they have met every qualification required by the city of Tuscaloosa. These strict policies are in place to protect your student in the vehicle with a driver. Every driver is required to have * a taxi license (issued by Officer Davidson with the Tuscaloosa Police Department), * taxi tag on the back of their vehicle, * a sticker on the back window (issued by Officer Davidson), *business license, *annual background check, *annual driving history check, * MOST important is they must have commercial insurance with the city of Tuscaloosa listed on the policy.

This is the law, not just a suggestion. If you pay someone to drive your child and they are not legal with the city and have an accident with your student in the vehicle, their insurance will not pay. You can be left with thousands of dollars worth of medical bills. It’s not worth it….EVER. Plus it’s illegal.

Even if someone is an Uber/Lyft driver, that does not make them exempt from these mandates from the city of Tuscaloosa.

I am not trying to step on anyone’s toes or offend anybody. I just want to make sure that parents are well informed for the safety of their student.

🅰️🐘FREE BAMA BOUND LINENS🐘🅰️

For Bama Bound, students have the option to spend the night in the dorms, which means bringing sheets, a pillow, blanket, towel, and other essentials. If you’re flying in, short on packing space, or simply don’t want to bring all of those items for a one-night stay, I’d love to help.

I have complimentary dorm linen bags available for Bama Bound families to use.

Each bag will be waiting for you at Ridgecrest South and includes everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay:

• Twin XL sheets
• Pillow & pillow protector
• Blanket
• Bath towel
• 2 Washcloths
• Bottled water
• A few snacks

Everything is packed in a small duffel bag with instructions included.

There is NO CATCH and NO FEE. As a local mom who has helped countless UA families over the years, this is simply my way of welcoming new students to Tuscaloosa and helping make Bama Bound a little less stressful.

If you could use one of these bags during your Bama Bound session, please text me at +1 (205) 765-8444

At Costco getting Bama Bound goodies! It makes my heart happy to help. Thank you all for sharing. I have had quite a few families reach out to me and I am going to be able to provide their students Bama Bound essentials for FREE!
Also, when I was driving a family to the airport today, I asked was there anything they needed or would like to have had that was not there and it was brought up that the students attending Bama bound do not really have breakfast offered to them. For most of them, the first time they eat is lunch break. So with each kit that I deliver, I will have two bottles of water, a granola bar and some goldfish crackers. It’s not much but it’s something.

The reason I am able to do this is because of YOU. This isn’t to bring any recognition to myself. This is 100% because YOU support my business and have blessed me beyond measure. Because of that, I am in a position that I can give back and I’m so grateful to be able to do so. With each kit that I deliver to campus, know that it is because of each and everyone of you, so thank you 🥰
