Brackish is known for creating true wearable works of art. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted in their Charleston, South Carolina studio, where skilled artisans combine centuries-old techniques with modern innovation using natural feathers.
But this partnership is especially meaningful to me. 🤍
When my husband and I got married, both my husband and my father wore Brackish bow ties. Their bow ties combined goose, guinea, and rooster feathers for a unique and modern take on traditional black-tie style. As avid outdoorsmen, the details and craftsmanship made them even more special to both of them.
My father passed away in January 2024, and one of my favorite photographs of him from our wedding—wearing his Brackish bow tie—became the photo we used in his obituary and in many of the tributes honoring his life. Today, that photograph is framed in our home and is such a special reminder of him, that day, and that one-of-a-kind bow tie.
When Brackish reached out about partnering for the official launch of their new collegiate collection, it felt incredibly full-circle.
A brand that was part of one of the most important days of my life is now becoming part of something so special at Lou & Co.
