This is the light, quiet one. TQ’s HPR50 motor puts out 50Nm and assists up to 28mph, but it’s quiet enough most people won’t clock it as an e-bike. 360Wh battery, removable so you can charge it inside.

Aluminum frame, carbon fork, Shimano CUES 10-speed, hydraulic discs, 40mm tires. Lights, kickstand, and a MIK rack already on it. Lichen Green Gloss, better in person.

Size Small, so riders around 5’1” to 5’5”. Free delivery within 25 miles of the shop.

David and his new Domane+ ALR 6 AXS. He wanted to keep riding with the fast group, so he went Class 3.

Right call for what he’s doing. Assist runs to 28mph, which is enough to actually sit in with a quick group instead of getting dropped on the first roller. The TQ motor is quiet and natural enough that it reads less as an e-bike and more like someone giving you a hand on the climbs. 60Nm of torque, roughly 60 miles of range, and SRAM Apex XPLR AXS handling the shifting wirelessly.

Eukyo and her new Verve 2. She was upgrading from an old bike, and the Verve just felt good the second she got on it.

That comfort isn’t an accident. Suspension seatpost soaking up the rough stuff, an adjustable stem so we can put the bars exactly where she wants them, wide tires, a padded saddle, and an upright position that keeps the weight off your wrists. Lowstep frame too, so there’s no swinging a leg over.

Shimano CUES 9-speed and disc brakes underneath it all, plus mounts for a rack and fenders whenever she wants them.

Fox Factory 36 and Float X, Transfer Neo dropper, SRAM X0 Eagle AXS. No shift cables, no dropper cable. Minions front and rear, 200mm front rotor, and a 10-52 out back for whatever he points it up.

The Gen 7 frame is the sleeper part. Swap the rocker link and it goes from 145mm of rear travel out to 160. Three bikes in one.

Amy and her new FX+ 1! She’s got it lined up for work, the gym, and the occasional trail.

Good bike for that mix. The throttle gets you moving from a dead stop without a running start, and the mid-step frame means you’re not swinging a leg over anything after leg day. Integrated lights and turn signals, so the ride home in the dark isn’t a guessing game for drivers. 540Wh battery, and the charger is magnetic and mounts to the wall, which sounds like a small detail until you’ve fumbled with a plug in a dark garage.

Jun and his new Madone SL 7 Gen 8. He left his road bike behind in Japan, so he’s been itching to get back out there.

He got a Precision Fit with it, too. Two hours dialing in shoes, saddle, and bars around how he actually rides, plus a written report and 60 days of free follow-ups if anything needs tweaking.
The bike: 500 Series OCLV carbon, Ultegra Di2, carbon wheels, tubeless from the start.
