Magic Valley ReStore ReStore is a weekly fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley. We have new & used building and remodeling supplies at deep discounts.

A unique shopping experience is right here in Twin Falls. Habitat ReStore is a building materials reuse center stocked full of incredible deals that change daily. The Habitat ReStore offers a wide variety of items including cabinets, lighting, windows, doo

rs and more at a significantly reduced price. Through public and private donations of overstocked, discontinued or slightly used, building-related materials and equipment, the Habitat ReStore diverts large amounts of reusable materials from landfills by providing these materials to the public at low prices. The Habitat ReStore:

Makes home improvements more affordable
Offers an ever-changing, wide variety of products
Is a local alternative to big chain retailers
Prevents useable building materials from going to landfills
Helps Habitat for Humanity build more homes

Staffed by a volunteer crew, Habitat ReStore is the discount retailer of choice for discerning, environmentally conscious buyers of a wide variety of hardware items and household items, both practical and decorative. The Habitat ReStore completes the cycle of deconstruction and construction by selling reusable home-related items to enable the building of affordable housing. All proceeds support Habitat for Humanity efforts. The Habitat ReStore will raise funds to build Habitat homes while diverting reusable material from landfills. Receiving Clerk Job Description:
Summary: Serve your community by working in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Responsible for accepting and processing donations, assisting customers, and merchandising.

Duties include:
ο‚Ÿ Screen items for donation according to guidelines.
ο‚Ÿ Be polite and make referrals if unable to accept donation.
ο‚Ÿ See manager for any questions about suitability of a donation.
ο‚Ÿ Check condition and working order of items before pricing.
ο‚Ÿ Assist unloading donated items.
ο‚Ÿ Assist customers loading purchased items.
ο‚Ÿ Assist customers as needed.
ο‚Ÿ Price merchandise according to pricing guidelines.
ο‚Ÿ Research items as needed.
ο‚Ÿ Clean, price, and place items in proper location.
ο‚Ÿ Display merchandise to be easily shopped and esthetically pleasing.
ο‚Ÿ Check prices on similar displayed items to keep prices consistent.
ο‚Ÿ Be aware of store policies and volunteer guidelines.
ο‚Ÿ Keep all back doors clear of items.
ο‚Ÿ Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
ο‚Ÿ Must be self-motivated,
ο‚Ÿ be able to lift at least 50 pounds,
ο‚Ÿ have a basic knowledge of online researching/shopping, and
ο‚Ÿ Must wear closed-toe shoes and at least Bermuda short/capris. Pants preferred.
ο‚Ÿ Complete the ReStore policy and Procedure review
ο‚Ÿ Habitat 101-Video course- To be completed within the first week
ο‚Ÿ Safety Training- Lockton Insurance Group- To be completed within the first Month
ο‚Ÿ Manager will cross train in other ReStore position’s

We are already trying to be good neighbors here in Castleford, sweeping the construction-dirty street in front of their homes. We want to leave the area cleaner than when we got here! We also had driveways poured last week, thanks to Alberti Excavating. We continued building the needed cabinets for the homes and finished sanding and filling one of the floors, moving on to priming.

Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley works with families to build or refurbish simple, decent, affordable homes here in our area. The homeowner pays for their home, and the principal returns to our build fund. We are privately funded, and so rely upon donors like you to help with our important builds. After the Castleford build, we have three amazing families with whom to build. You can help! Find out more about the many ways here:

Two people in particular took leadership roles and passed their experience, knowledge and skills on to others in the beautiful way that makes the volunteer building that is foundational for our program so successful.
