You look like you need a beach day.

It’s Saturday on Tybee. Grab some coffee, hit the beach, shop a little local, eat something good, have a drink, eat something else good… you get the idea.

We’ve got plenty of good neighbors to keep you fed all day, so we’re tagging some of our favorites.

And somewhere between breakfast and dinner, come say hi to The Irritable Pelican Gallery-Tybee. We’re right inside the Tybee Visitor Center

Beginning October 8th in the Georgia coast, the Tybee Island Pirate Fest kicks off with a huge pirate parade, live music, costume contests, carnival rides, food vendors, pirate shows, and crowds dressed like they just stepped off an old sailing ship. One of the biggest highlights comes Saturday with the Pirate Victory Parade, followed by the adult costume contest and evening entertainment near the Tybee Pier.

The main festival grounds sit in the South Beach area, where you can walk between vendor tents, watch pirate performers, hear sea-themed music, and see elaborate costumes everywhere you look. Families can visit Little Matey’s Cove for face painting, crafts, games, a petting zoo, magic shows, and other kids’ activities.

The festival runs October 8–11, 2026, with free admission to the main grounds. Thursday begins with the 18-and-up Buccaneer Ball at The Original Crab Shack and the crowning of the Pirate King and Queen. A carnival at Hotel Tybee also runs during the weekend, while Sunday brings more live entertainment and one final afternoon of pirate fun beside the Atlantic.
