🐕 When your officer wears a fur coat to every shift…

Climate control becomes a little more important.

When we build out a K-9 unit, we pay attention to the officer in the back too. These additional vents are custom-installed directly into the kennel to help get conditioned air where the K-9 actually needs it.

Because “the A/C is on” and “the A/C is reaching the kennel” are two different things.

It’s one of those small details you might never notice—but the four-legged officer definitely will. 🐾🚔

🚓 Upfitter Monday Q&A

"Why do I have a big wad of goo where the lightbar harness goes into the roof?"

That "goo" is almost always silicone sealant. Many upfitters use it to seal the hole where the lightbar wiring enters the roof to help keep water out.

Does it work? Usually.

Does it look good? Well... Maybe if your a fan of abstract art. 😅

At Central Point, we take a different approach. Instead of relying on a blob of silicone, we route the wiring through a cable gland that is designed specifically for watertight cable entry. It provides a clean, professional installation, protects the wiring, and creates a reliable seal without the mess.

🎬 From Retirement to the Sound Stage.

Most people know Central Point for building and outfitting emergency vehicles.
