“You found yourself back again, different night same ol’ end. Feeling so ashamed thinkin’, ‘What if Jesus walked in?’ Could you even meet His eyes when you’re believin’ neon lies that say you’re too far gone, but what if you got it all wrong? I got no idea what He’d say to you, but there’s a few things I’m pretty sure He’d do. He’d pick up that phone at 3 AM when you’re crying on the floor & you need a friend. If you’re face down in the bed you made, He don’t kill the lights & walk away. He’d bust down the door to get you out cuz you don’t know you’re in a burnin’ house. When everyone else would’ve gone & gave up on you, that’s one thing He wouldn’t do. I don’t know what you’ve been through, but I know rock bottom too. Grace & me’s got some history, & I can’t count the times He’s rescued me. He’ll meet you where you are no matter where, but He loves you way too much to leave You there.”-Holly Brand🙏🏻🔥

We serve a God who changes EVERYTHING-who never gives up on us even if we’ve already given up on ourselves-who watches us live for the world, but somehow still protects, pursues, & loves us unconditionally-who steps over the rubble to find us in the ashes-who grabs our hand & lifts us out of the darkest of pits that we often put ourselves in-who created us despite knowing all of the mistakes we would make-who doesn’t barge into our heart to control us, but waits for us to call Him. I can beyond a shadow of a doubt say that the darkest parts of my past God allowed to happen not to harm me, but rather to get me where I needed to be-broken & in need of a Savior. Since calling His name, my life has radically changed…I’ve changed. “I didn’t know the Healer ‘til I needed healing. I didn’t need a Savior or some kind of anchor ‘til I lost my way. And I didn’t know the Father ‘til I felt like an orphan. And I didn’t need a river, a gracious Forgiver, ‘til my soul was stained. You took my hurting and gave it purpose. Thank God for the anger that forced me to pray. Thank God for the silence that taught me to wait. If He spared me from breaking, and God knows I did, then I never would’ve ever known how good God is…I didn’t know the Spirit ‘til I felt His power. I didn’t see the light ‘til Hе opened my eyеs in my darkest hour. I didn’t know the Lion ‘til I heard His roar when I was surrounded and couldn’t fight without Him, not one second more…Thank God for the weakness that showed me His strength. Thank God for the fire that forged me with faith. Looking back on my life, the pieces all fit together-not because of some extravagant act on my part, BUT because of God’s goodness. God never leaves us, we leave Him. Somehow DESPITE US, he fits our ugly, broken shards of a life back together and somehow something more beautiful than ever before is formed. That’s how good God is. 🕊️🙏🏻 He answers prayers we don’t even know to pray. He heals what we don’t know is shattered. He restores what seems lost. This week as we placed new finds in Olive and Thorn Vintage Goods, I was once again reminded of His goodness-our hope is that our treasures remind you that the lost can always be found and restoration is only a prayer away! 🙏🏻

Grace.🤍When we bow our heads to pray over our meal, do we do it out of routine? 🍽️ Do we sit on a church pew because it’s what we are supposed to do on a Sunday? 💒 Do we just live every day in monotony? 🕰️ As humans, it can be easy to live in these spiritual ruts and allow our own personal tasks and desires to surpass perhaps God’s desires for our life. Have you ever considered that your routine may in fact be hindering God’s true plan and calling for you? 🕊️ Proverbs 16:9 states, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” 👣 We often have our own plans, but God is the one who has the final say in how we get there, what path we take, what trials we may face, what victories we will experience, and what grace we will be given along the way. Break out of your checklist today and rather than praying out of routine, pray with intention. Prayer that comes from a humble heart changes things. God listens. His grace is given to those who continually seek Him. 🙏🏻🌿🕊️✝️

Today, we remember. 🌇🇺🇸 25 years ago today, the world stopped. I was in first grade. I remember it was an ordinary day until suddenly it wasn’t. Our parents were called. The school closed. Everyone was preparing for the worst in Texas as our fellow Americans in New York faced a smoky, fiery nightmare. I remember even as a little girl my parents turning on the news to see two towers that appeared impenetrable suddenly tumble to the ground. On that day something changed. People banned together with complete strangers to pray, encourage, and support. Over the days, months, and years following 9/11, stories of unexpected heroes flooded the news and our hearts - stories of those who started their day with their usual routines - hugging their loved ones, grabbing their morning coffee, and heading off to work. Within hours, these same ‘ordinary’ Americans showed extraordinary courage by saving complete strangers. They ran into buildings they knew would likely crumble just to check for those lost in the smoke. They fought hijackers on planes to ensure that no more Americans suffered, even at the cost of their own lives. They prayed when prayer was all they had. They hoped when all hope seemed to be lost. They were the examples of what all Americans should strive to be. Though I pray we never are forced to relive a day like 9/11, I hope that we can ban together as Americans, fight for the lost, pray for the broken, and continue to rise from the rubble just as those heroes did all those years ago. Let us reflect on our past, grow in our present, and dream for the future, while remembering those that sacrificed it all so we could do just that! We will never forget. 🌇❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Stages of Life - My Sweet Grammy, I feel like in the past year that we’ve had to face so many stages all at once. I’m honestly still not sure how I feel about it, but I know we serve a God who sees the full picture rather than the small chapter that I see. 📖✝️ My entire life you’ve been my shoulder to cry on, my helping hand, my guiding word, my forging prayer of courage, my hug of reassurance, and somehow, through it all, you prepared me for this season, a season where I have the opportunity to give all of that back to you. 🙏🏻🩷 Thank you for teaching me to seek the Lord in times of joy and in times of desperation. Thank you for role modeling how to stand strong in the impossible. Now, every lesson you have ever taught me, I must utilize daily. We are on this journey together until God calls us home and then, we will be hand in hand walking streets of gold, singing at the top of our lungs like the good ol’ days. 🙏🏻✨🎶 I’m so very thankful for you, for our now, for our every moment.
