J’s Sip N Slurp will be closed this weekend and will be canceling our attendance at the Whimmy Di**le due to the immigration enforcement activity in our community and surroudning arears.
For us, this decision is not about politics, immigration status, or choosing sides. It is about compassion, safety, and the well-being of the families who make up our community.
Our hearts are heavy for the parents living in fear, the children who may not understand why their loved ones are not coming home, and the families facing uncertainty about what tomorrow may bring.
As parents and small business owners, it is heartbreaking to imagine children waiting to be picked up from school, families being separated, or parents wondering how they will keep their children safe when they themselves are afraid.
We recognize that everyone may have different opinions and perspectives, and we respect that. But regardless of those differences, we believe compassion should always have a place in our community.
People are people. Families are families. And every child deserves to feel safe and loved.
J’s Sip N Slurp was built on family, faith, and the support of this wonderful community. Today, we choose to lead with those same values.
We stand for kindness, compassion, and love for ALL people, regardless of their skin color, background, or where they come from.

J’s Sip N Slurp permanecerá cerrado este fin de semana y cancelará su participación en el Whimmy Di**le debido a las recientes actividades de migración en nuestra comunidad.
Para nosotros, esta decisión no trata de política, estatus migratorio ni de tomar partido. Se trata de compasión, seguridad y el bienestar de las familias que conforman nuestra comunidad.
Nuestros corazones están afligidos por los padres que viven con miedo, por los niños que tal vez no comprenden por qué sus seres queridos no regresan a casa y por las familias que enfrentan la incertidumbre sobre lo que traerá el mañana.
Como padres y dueños de un este negocio, nos parte el corazón imaginar a niños esperando a que los recojan de la escuela, a familias siendo separadas o a padres preguntándose cómo protegerán a sus hijos cuando ellos mismos sienten miedo.
Reconocemos que cada persona puede tener opiniones y perspectivas diferentes, y respetamos eso. Pero, independientemente de esas diferencias, creemos que la compasión siempre debe tener un lugar en nuestra comunidad.
Las personas son personas. Las familias son familias. Y cada niño merece sentirse seguro y amado.
J’s Sip N Slurp se fundó sobre los valores de la familia, la fe y el apoyo de esta maravillosa comunidad. Hoy, decidimos guiarnos por esos mismos valores.
