Here at Melaleuca, we have REAL SOLUTIONS for people and children prescribed laxatives! See, the problem we are facing is that our food in America is SAD. Truly!! (Standard American Diet, SAD). We have toxic food and it has been stripped of it's natural state. So, basically what is happening here is that our bodies no long get proper amounts of FIBER, PROBIOTICS, DIGESTIVE ENZYMES, MINERALS, VITAMINS AND HYDRATION. And our food chemistry has changed drastically, huge increase in gluten content, hormones and shortcuts used in the dairy industry... causing unprecedented allergies! So, we were on this journey over 8 years ago with our oldest child. Long story short, she was prescribed MiraLAX and even though my gut told me to not give it to her, I couldn't bear to watch her in so much pain or take her to Children's hospital for yet another painful test. I didn't know what else to do to help my daughter, but to follow the doctors order. :( I am so thankful that a friend introduced me to Melaleuca just 2 short months after!
I quickly learned to get my daughter on these products, Fiberwise drink (we started with half a scoop and built up to 2 full scoops into water with a straw, she was only 3 at the time), Florify probiotic (I pulled open the capsule, put it into her food), Koala Pals vitamin and mineral supplement, Sustain drink for proper hydration and electrolyte balance and then a non-melaleuca product called Epsom salts, which are actually not salts at all, but is a magnesium sulfate which is effective mineral compound that is very helpful to ease digestion when put 1/2-1 cup into warm bath.

We've not looked back in over 8.5 years!!! Who do you know that is giving their child MiraLAX and wants to find a better alternative?!

The dangers of Miralax for daily use in children are being exposed. I review causes of constipation and other possible solutions.
