Ana has had the privilege of dog sitting more than 25 dogs just this summer! While she has enjoyed it so very much, she has learned a LOT and has some updated policies. This *will* apply to any one currently booked. Please read carefully and let me know if you have any concerns or questions by messaging us here (and not on my personal page so it doesn’t get lost).
A few new policies:
-if you have a medium/large dog: before they can stay over night for *more than one night*, we will require you bring them for a meet and greet. Ana has to be able to physically handle the dogs herself since this is her job, and some dogs we had are just too big for her to handle.
-your dog must come with:
*food
*bowls
*a collar WITH owner’s name and phone number. We have a fenced in yard, but worse case scenario, I’d want my contact info on my dog just in case.
*proof of vaccination AND proof of no worms
-if your dog is found to be sick (worms or any parasite) or infested with fleas/ticks, you must schedule someone to pick them up or pay for their treatment while they are here with us. If they have to be walked and kept separate from other dogs due to sickness, there will be an extra $5 per dog per night fee.
-when you book our services, a $25 per dog deposit is required. This will be returned once your dogs are picked up with no issues.
-we are no longer taking not potty trained puppies. (Within reason)
-your dog must be okay with being kenneled in the house when we leave. Just this last month we’ve lost a door, another has been shredded, and multiple other things damaged due to dogs that are supposedly “okay without a kennel”. They won’t be in there long, but if we leave, there’s a good chance they will need to be kenneled. (Not all dogs, but most)
-all fees must be paid up front before bringing the dogs. I understand you want vacation money, but Ana is working hard and we aren’t doing any more of the “I forgot” at pick up 🙂
This may sound like we are being difficult to deal with, but this is to keep ALL dogs that we keep safe. Those that truly take care of their pets will appreciate this. Otherwise, we may not be the best fit for you, and that’s okay!
What we can promise is your dogs are taken care of, played with in a clean enclosed area and walked multiple times per day. And they get the best snuggles at night with Ana. (If that’s their jam) Lots of one on one time, rather than being in a kennel the majority or their stay. AND tons of pictures of your baby uploaded every day into an app that we give you access to so you can check on them throughout the day.
